The SROI Project
Many organisations can claim to make a difference but struggle to find a method of demonstrating their impact clearly. In an effort to address this, Forth Sector Development is pleased to announce the launch of the Scottish Government’s SROI Project. The aim is to develop, promote and support the use of a standard form of measuring social return on investment (SROI) and will be run in conjunction with the SROI Network UK.SROI allows an organisation to look at the service it provides, measure the difference the activity makes to stakeholders and report on the impact using financial comparators or ‘proxies’. The SROI Project will be taken forward between 2009-2011 and with the aim of developing awareness and promoting the use SROI throughout the third sector.
The project is centred on a major engagement programme, with seminars, workshops and pilot studies. A series of workshops and training sessions are scheduled for September - if you’d like to receive notification of upcoming events, workshops and publications, please send your contact details to SROIproject@forthsectordevelopment.org.uk.
